However, at times, I felt a bit swamped with information. It's not a super large book, but there is a lot of concise information about the nature of CBT. If you're a rank beginner, it might be worth rereading a couple of sections. The workbook elements are great but ask for a good chunk of time and effort. It seemed to me that this book might be a bit much for someone who's new to the whole self-help scene.

That said, there is a lot of value here, especially for those ready to dive deep into personal growth. I think the key is to realize that it's a short book that you need to spend a lot of time with - rereading parts and going through all the "workbook" sections - in order to get all of the (considerable) value. It's a well-put-together piece of self-help literature!
